The European Biocidal Silver Task Force was formally established in 2006 and currently comprises 13 companies supporting various silver-containing active substances in the EU Review Programme for the examination of existing biocidal active substances contained in biocidal products under the Biocidal Products Regulation (EU) No 528/2012.

Supported silver-containing active substances include elemental silver, silver nitrate, silver chloride, silver phosphate glass, silver borophosphate glass, silver phosphoborate glass, silver zeolite, silver copper zeolite, silver zinc zeolite.
